Find out why cool blue will be this summer’s hottest shade

Well, back in December of 2016 Pantone announced that their colour for 2017 was the verdant, nature inspired, shade of green they inspiredly dubbed ‘Greenery’. Since then it’s cropped up in most areas of design from furniture to fashion.

However, it’s being pushed out of the limelight somewhat this summer by the latest interiors trend for vibrant cobalt blues, the kinds of hues that makes one think of heady vacations on the Med, perfect for what we’re hoping will be a long hot summer.

Taking steps away from the neutral, pale, Scandinavian inspired colour-ways of recent years to richer, deeper and more eye-catching colours that were once just used for accenting.

You’ll find these midnight indigos and deep azures everywhere over the SS17 period, but how can you bring a touch of the blue into your home? Check out these great products for a bit of inspiration.
